Our surf hire centre at Cayton Bay is open 7 days a week year round offering the very best kit to help keep you warm and comfortable, meaning more time in the water to help keep that learning curve vertical.
Our wetsuits are all 5/4mm so perfect for year round use and we have boots, gloves and hoods available for the cooler months of the year to make sure your ready to battle the elements. We also carry a ever changing range of top end demo suits from the likes of RipCurl and O'Neill for those that want to try before they buy.
For those learning to surf we offer both Swell and INT foam boards, these are very stable, easy to paddle and are the safest way to get in the water and learn to surf. We would always recommend a surf lesson for total beginners and use these boards exclusively for surf tuition.
For the novice to intermediate surfers we offer a full range of NSP mini mals and long boards. These Demo hard boards are the perfect next step from the foam boards used initially, offering more performance whilst still catching waves well. Your welcome to try out any board from the range and with 6'8 - 9'6 models on offer we'll have a board to suit and if you decide to "try before you buy" and go on to buy a new board we'll even refund your hire charge...
For the more experienced surfer we also stock a range of shorter boards for hire, with demo models from the likes of Firewire, Fourth and Surftech. We usually have a good range test with stock constantly changing as new models are released, call for more details or to reserve a board.
We also have Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP's) for hire with a brand new range of NSP boards in stock, these offer the perfect flat water alternative to surfing helping improve balance, co-ordination, core-strength and upper body fitness. Currently one of the fastest growing sports world wide and a great way to explore the bay on those less than perfect surf days. With a little practice and the right board under your feet you can surf them too, you'll be able to pick waves up much easier than normal and ride surf too small to surf on a standard longboard opening up a lot of new opportunities to get down to the beach and have some fun with all the family.
